Sunny Days Ahead

The first picture is of the patio furniture I have my eye on at Target. The second one is a picture of our backyard. Can't you see why I love this patio set....it will be perfect furniture under our pergola ..... I am waiting for it to go on sale....because I don't like to buy things full price. I am also excited to have shade in the backyard too to help with the HOT Texas summer.

Decorating Ideas ......

I finally decided on the color I am going to paint the dining room....for some reason this room has been the hardest one to decide on what color to go with. I ordered the paint from Restoration Hardware......It's an amazing green/gray color that is going to look amazing. still not sure if I am going to paint the inset or the ceiling the same color. I also got an amazing steal on craigslist for a Pottery Barn dinning room table for 150 dollars. I love a good bargain. I am going to paint it white and still not sure about the chairs.

Birthday Inspiration

As most of you know Noah was born on Andrew's birthday....May 17th. It was the most amazing birthday present that Andrew and I will ever get. We always talk about how crazy it is that of all the days of the year...365 to be exact. God chose to bring Noah into our lives on Andrew's special day...so that means there is a lot of pressure on me to throw a fun double birthday....which honestly I am excited about. I have been on the search for months now on the perfect theme and cute decorations. So I ordered the invitations today and the theme is going to be a fun Surf's Up theme.....It is going to be so much fun and it will be at our new house. I can't wait for this exciting day. So friends make sure you are available May 15thfrom 11:30 to 1:30 for some fun........Here are some sneak peaks at what I am working on...

13.1 miles

We had a great weekend. First we went to The Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas for the day. It is such a fun place for kids. Once Noah is a little older I foresee many overnights with friends there. This was Noah's first time in a water park and he really liked playing in the baby area. I can't believe that he is getting so big.

Then Sunday My sister, brother in law and I ran our first Half Marathon. My only goal was to finish but I surprised myself by only walking maybe 4 min. of the whole thing. I am really sore today and can't really walk but it was so much fun. It was more emotional than I thought it would be. As I approached the finish line I kept saying...almost there...almost finished....and My mind kept going to the minute I cross over into Heaven and see Jesus...and I hear "Well done my good and faithful servant" and It took everything in me not to cry....Crossing that finish line was amazing. I now understand why Jesus uses this analogy in scripture. If you haven't experienced it you have to race one in your life...it is worth it. I am going to take 1 week off then start training for the next one in Oct.

We finished !!!

Me about to cross the finish line.....

New House Dining Room

OK, so here are pics of the new house dining room. The colors are horrible and they painted the ceiling. I really want to paint it a different color than the walls but not sure what colors. I really like the White, crisp colors that will look good with dark hardwood floors. Any ideas?

Decorating Ideas

With us buying a new home I have been a little obsessed with trying to figure out what to do with the dining room. The existing colors in the room are grey and copper, and really ugly. The walls also have a faux finish on them that are really going to make things difficult. Here are some ideas I have found and am really considering painting the ceiling a different color than the walls.
