Christmas 2008 and 20 weeks

Well. After my wife asked me in her loving way, "Honey, why don't you ever post on our blog?" I've decided to make a short posting for the masses that follow us and our adventures :) Guilted into it? Maybe...

After a whirlwind Christmas in which we got to see both families, meet a new puppy named Maggie Moo, and my older brothers' new fiance from California, we are back in our routine. Today, we had our 20 week visit with our doctor. Everything looks great and we got some great new pics of little Noah Jackson squirming around in his cramped space. Its amazing to see his progress so quickly from looking like a peanut to somewhat human-like!! To finally see his feet, hands, and make out his face was awesome. I am continually amazed. It reminds me how specifically active and in control God is in uniquely creating him and how we as self-controlling humans are fully dependent on Him for a healthy child. What a blessing.

Speaking of blessings, we are active and busy preparing for Noah and his nursery, purchasing a new SUV, and signing up for our classes. Its always an adventure with the Hunts!

"Sons are a heritage from the LORD, childern a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them." Ps. 127 3-5

Noah Jackson Hunt

Well we have decided to name our little guy Noah Jackson Hunt. We will have our 20 week ultrasound in 3 weeks which will tell us for sure that it is Noah....If not then we will have to return lots of clothes and come up with a name. I am turning 29 this next week and am not so excited about that.....but life will go on. So life for the hunts right now is busy....between researching what to buy for Noah and cleaning out the nursery for a complete remodel, buying christmas gifts, putting up decorations, getting ready for family, traveling and making decisions on when to quit my job....yes we are busy...but really excited about what God has in store for us.

It's a Boy

We found out at our last appointment that we are having a Boy. We were not excpecting to find out this early at 14 weeks but at our first screen appointment the sonographer asked if we wanted to know what we were having and Andrew and I looked at each other and said "well yes". and he got the view between the legs and said" either he has 3 legs or you are having a boy. We were both shocked to find out and then shocked that we just found out we were having a Boy. We are between names at this point because we were for sure we were going to have a girl and had a name all picked out. You can give me you input on what you like.....It's either Noah or Jackson. We are leaning more towards Noah because we love that name but I want to do animals in the nursery and that might seem a little weird if we name him Noah. I am due in May and have so much to do before then.

I'm Pregnant

So we have been waiting to make it public that we are pregnant. I am 13 weeks and it has been a hard last 6 weeks. I have been really sick and have had to miss some work, but I hear this next trimester should be better. I am crossing my fingers. We are going to find out what we are having next month so that should be exciting. It is so weird to know that you have something growing inside of you and that your body is no longer just your own. Everything I eat is not just for me but for the baby too. Not just eating but I am getting bigger, my face is breaking out like I am in high school and I have no cravings.....only aversions to everything.
Knowing that God is at work inside me is amazing. Please join us in praying that our baby is healthy and that our child will one day come to know the Lord. Pictures to follow.......

Silicon Labs Relay Marathon.....

Today was the Relay Marathon downtown. We had people from our small group at Hill Country Bible Church RR run. Andrew ran with the girls group and for only training for 1 week he did really well. It started at 8 and we were done at 1230...a long Hot morning but we all survived....some of us not as well as others but we made it.....At 8PM I am still recovering. I only did a 5K but it felt like a 10K. We are blessed to be in such a fun group of young married couples. They are amazing.

Andrew started a new job at Southwest water company and he is still learning the ropes. I think he will really enjoy it but there is a huge learning curve.

We are still praying about what next summer will bring but all together there will be some changes......stay tuned!!

New Bike

Ok so today I finally bought my bike. After going to a couple of stores I found one for a really great price. It was a little sad that I have to get the smallest one they make for an adult but at least I didn't have to get a youth bike ......like Andrew joked about all day. So I went for my first ride and I am so excited. I was able to ride a couple of miles and not fall once.

Reflection

Andrew is out of town tonight and so it's just me and the dogs. I never sleep when he is out of town so I am sure that tonight will be no different. I was looking at old pictures tonight and realized that I change my hair style a lot....not just my style but my color so I decided to show you what I mean through pictures. What does this say about me? Am I just fun and Like change or is it because I am still trying to find out who I am? What I do know is that it is fun.....

This is what 29,000 dollars looks like......the one and only time I will ever see that much....

Exciting News !!!!

Well life for the Hunts has been exciting......We got the the call this past week that Andrew has been accepted into Denver Seminary. We have decided to move next summer around june or july and he will start school in August. How exciting will it be to move to another state and live for 2 years......we will be coming back to Texas after school.

Andrew will also be starting his new job soon which is amazing because it will allow us to save up 2 x's more money for seminary.

So we are just praying that God will provide in every way.....to sell our house, have a house in colorado close to seminary, me a job, and money to pay for school.....wow so much needs to happen for us to move but we trust that God is in control...

This past weekend we were in Houston with my family selling fireworks....laugh if you want but it was so much fun and the stand made 29,000 dollars just in 1 week.......amazing. We are really tired today from staying up late and being on our feet all day....but it was fun.....pictures will follow...

New post

Wow, we haven't written on this thing in awhile. Well, that normally happens to blogs, right? You see a week or so of constant posts and then a month or so later an update. Sorry for the delay for the one or two readers that read about us (or maybe its just Michelle and I that read our own posts?).

The Hunts are doing great. I (Andrew) am awaiting Denver's decision this month on my application and got a new job offer here in Austin to start work in the Utility industry soon (more later...). Michelle is keeping up with her hectic schedule at work and standing up for quality patient-care! And of course, we find time for our dogs at night and on the weekends.

Anyway, we still are in our mode of transition. Waiting on one happening to make another decision...So more on that in a month or so (when we remember to write on this again)!

Debt Diet Update

Ok so I have finished the budget for June and as of right now we will pay off our 2nd car and start on our last debt.....my student loans. Which we are on target to pay off in 4 months.....then WE ARE DEBT FREE........ It is so exciting to see things getting paid off and the feeling is amazing. This is really how God has intended us to live....free....and part of that freedom is financially. To have the burden lifted of the lingering debt is an amazing Blessing.

It is so true that we as americans in this sinful world tend to want and need what is not essential and as we dig ourselves into a mountain of debt we end up working for years to pay for things that we just had to have 2 years ago. We end up allowing money to rule our lives....we work because we have to make X amount of money to pay the bills. Is this truly the Abundant life that God had inteended for his children? As Andrew and I have gone on this Debt diet we have had a chance to see how we let money rule our lives and taking back control and allowing God to show us how to be free is so amazing. 9 months ago and 30,000 dollars in debt I never thought we would be here....at this point and only be 4 months away from Financial freedom. God is good.....and he continues to do more than we can ever ask or imagine.....

Colorado Trip

Amazing views from the road to Mt. Evans. We couldn't go to the top because it had snowed the day before.
On our way up to Mt. Evans we stopped to take a picture by this amazing river.

About 15 minutes from Littleton is Red Rock. It was amazing and the weather was beautiful. It was 70 during the day and 40 at night......It was a shock to get back yesterday and it was 98 outside.

We also saw ground hogs for the first time. They were all over the place. I think we were the only people taking pictures of them.

They were waiting for us when we got there and had this welcome sign. Just a small touch but it made us feel special. Andrew sat in on 1 class and met with the president....he called him anthony but later found him and apologized. Our time at the seminary was great and we are praying that God will show us where he wants us.

This is the front of the seminary. It was really small but we felt really comfortable.

Please be praying for us and that God's Will would be shown to us.....

We are going to have a great Saturday......We are going hiking in the rockies, going to a MLB baseball game then out in the city.....

We will post pictures and give you guys an update when we get back......

New Hobby !!

So I have been thinking about starting a new hobby. I have recently been thinking about what it is that I really like to do and nothing really came to mind. Yes, I love spending time with my husband, dogs, friends and God , but I need something for me. Something that I am excited about and love to do that is not the norm like reading or running. So I have decided to save up money and buy a bike.....yes, you heard it....I want to be one of those people that you see on 360 that race past you with there tight spandex on and look more important than they are. I want to be able to ride a bike more than 1 mile and not be winded. I want to get in shape and rock that spandex....I want to make the most of this 1 life that God blesses me with. So after much investigation I have found that Cycling is not a cheap hobby and it will take about 1 month to save up enough money...but I am going to do it....I feel like I have to overcome this nagging feeling that I should be doing more with my time. So I will keep you posted on my new hobby adventure and let you know when I get my bike!!!!!

First Blog

This is the first of many blogs to come in the future. I have been wanting to do this for a long time and decided after reading some of my friends blogs that today is the day. I am getting a little tired of the facebook and myspace profiles....not that they are not fun because I still check mine daily ( I know I am 28...get a life) but they are not true. Pleople post happy pictures of exciting times and often we look through the comments to see who is saying what about who...when in reality it is superficial and not a clear picture of what is really going on with someone. So Andrew and I will be updating this blog often and let you in on the exciting lives of the Hunts. Exciting, Hard, Terrifying, Happy and Honest. Well at least we think it is exciting..... We are in a huge transition time in life right now that is a little overwhelming and may be selling our house and moving to the great unknown soon.

We are on a debt diet and have paid off 14,000 dollars in 4 months and this month we will be paying off our second car....Dave Ramsey is awesome.....that leaves my student loans and our house.....we will keep you posted on where we are with that as well....and for those of you that want to live debt free....It can happen trust me...we are well on our way.
