6 weeks and growing

Our 6 weeks picture by our Lab...he is getting so big.

Daddy Time !!!

Night time. I bought this cute sleep sak for him last week and he only got to wear it once. He is now in 3 month clothes. So we gave it to Gunnar to wear.

Bath time !!

Today we celebrated Noah's 6 week birthday. I can't believe he is getting so big. We have had a fun week. Thursday night I got to hang out with the Summit ladies while Andrew watched Noah. Friday Andrew's parents came by to see us on there way home from California. Saturday Tom came to visit us and see Noah. Saturday night was our first hang out at Beth and Joey's. Noah did really well and got to meet Joey for the first time. He even fed Noah as soon as we got there. It was fun knowing that one day when we hang out again we will have 4 kids there. We are looking forward to going to Houston this next week to sell fireworks and hang out with family.
In other non Noah related news we are jumping back into the church plant that we started a few months ago. Summit Community Church will be having our first service in August and we are so excited. It has been amazing to see how God is blessing us and paving the way for his work to be done in this city. Andrew is going to be heading up the Missions ministry so I can see lots of mission trips in our future.

5 1/2 weeks

Our Happy little man. He was wanting to be picked up and as soon as I did he had this big grin on his face. I love this Boy.

What a sad Dogs life. Now that the focus has changed to Noah the dogs just follow us all day trying to get involved in whatever we are doing.

He just got this new gym today and he loves it. He no longer likes to just be held he want to have interaction when he is awake.

Not the best picture but this is Addison, she is so cute with Noah and is going to be a great big sister.

Now that I have a computer I am really going to try and write an update everyday so we will see how long that lasts. Last night Noah slept 4 hours then ate at 2 and went right back to sleep until 5. We have been doing the babywise method with him and it is working out so well. Today we had a fun lunch date with Beth and her little cutie Addison. It seems like yesterday she was born and now we can't wit to meet the new little guy they will be adding to there family soon. We had a great time and tried to go to the playground but it is 105 outside which make being outside miserable right now. Noah got a new play gym today and as soon as I put him underneath it he smiled and talked to the sea animals for 30 minutes. I can't believe he is growing up so fast. Everyday he does something new and I just melt..I never thought I would love him this much. It has really brought me closer to the heart of God and challenged me to be the best mom that God has created me to be. I am having so much fun learning everything about our little man and can't wait to see who he grows up to be.

My Little Pea

AHHH....nothing like a sleeping baby. I am finally getting a chance to write a quick blog before our little pea wakes up. He was really fussy yesterday and nothing Andrew and I did would calm him down then at 8pm he had a diaper blow out which is why he was fussy all day. He slept 5 hours last night. We went to Lufkin last week and here are some highlights:

1) Got to visit the Tea room for the first time, amazing food

2) Noah met his great grandmother for the first time...pictures to follow

3) We went to see Ryan(Nephew) at his swim meet...I almost cried when I saw him swim the first time. He is not a little boy anymore
4) My sister and I killed a 5 foot chicken snake. I chopped it's head off while my sister held it down. It was so much fun.

5 Weeks old....

Happy Father's day !!! Today was Andrew's first fathers day and it has been so much fun seeing him transition into a great daddy. I am back after our computer crashed a couple of weeks ago. Noah has changed so much and is growing bigger everyday. I will post pictures soon. He is able to hold his head up really well and is sleeping 4 hours at night then wakes up to eat and goes right back to sleep for 3 hours. We have been blessed with a really good baby. We just got back from his first trip to Lufkin and he did really well. It felt like I packed our whole house just to go for 1 week but with a baby it was all stuff he needed. I am loving staying at home with him. Longer post later,,,I just wanted to jump on here and say I am still here and will be posting more on our adventures this week.

Weight Check

Today Noah had his 2 1/2 week weight check to make sure that he is gaining weight since he lost 10% of his body weight the first week. I am happy to say that he weighs 8.05 lbs...we have regained our birth weight. YAY Noah! This week so far has been really good. He is staying awake a lot more during the day and last night he slept 4 hours. I woke up 4 hours from when I fed him last and was so worried because he hadn't woken up yet..I quickly put my hand on his chest to make sure he was still breathing and he was so peaceful. I scared him and he woke up. I was so proud of him for sleeping 4 hours and I was well rested. We are going to try the Babywise method with him and even though he is only 2 1/2 weeks old we are already trying it with him. More for us to get used to first, then hopefully he will follow. I can't believe that he is almost 3 weeks old. He is changing everyday and I love him so much. We are still getting food brought to us everyother day and it has been such a blessing. I am so ready to start working out and getting back into my normal clothes. Check back in later this week for pictures from this week. Oh and his umbilical cord fell off yesterday....it was exciting.

2 weeks old !

Noah and his lab puppy!
First bath!

His diaper buddies. He loves to look at them when he is being changed. So cute.

Wow I can't believe that my little guy is 2 weeks old. Time has gone by so fast already. He is doing really well. I am back to normal...well mentally not physically just yet. I am on my own with him at home and lovin being a mom. I never thought I would say that but he is just such a sweet baby. So this week we have been able to get out of the house everyday and do something fun. My amazing friends are bringing us dinner - Thanks to LoSurdos, Hoyts, Issacsons, and Hengst's, It's so nice to not have to worry about cooking right now. Noah is getting on a schedule and eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, staying awake a little and sleeping. I had to switch to formula because my breast milk didn't have enough calories and he was losing weight. He is almost back to his birth weight now. The dogs are adjusting to having a little screaming thing at home but still not sure what to make of him. So far I have been vomited , peed and pooped on, but I still love him.

Stats:
He is able to hold his head up a little, he is not the bobble head we had last week
He is really strong, when he clinches his fist he won't release easily
His circumcision is healed
He is still in newborn clothes
He is on the small side:
Weight 7.14 - 25 - 50%
Height 21"- 50-75%
Head 36 cm - 25-50%
